General

What is Deploy4Me?

Deploy4Me is a service that installs a software into a cloud. No extra code or technical knowledge is required. You just get fully configured, integrated and secure cloud environment for your business or project. Select one of the popular cloud providers like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure or use your own infrastructure. Technically speaking this is a cloud provisioning.

Evaluations

Can I evaluate a service for free before purchasing some credits?

Yes, Deploy4Me offers the fully functional free deployments to help you with the first steps. On sign up you will be rewarded with the free credits. The free credits allow you to deploy up to four server instances in your cloud. Whenever you use free or paid credits you would receive the professionally configured instances ready for production use.

Is there a special program for a software vendor and a community tester?

We are working hard to ensure the all deployments are made according to the best practices. We test almost all possible deployment scenarios on the multiple environments. This work is time consuming and we encourage the software vendors to advise us and make the configurations better. That is why we provide a partner program and a community program to improve Deploy4Me. It is free and it is designed to assist with the deployment testing.

Pricing

What are the Deploy4Me credits?

You can purchase credits once and then use it for a new order without the necessity to provide the credit card details each time. It can be useful for organisations who separate financial and technical reporting.

What is the difference between major and promoted software deployment?

Promoted deployments are provided for less credits thanks to our partners. Apart from the price you can expect the same professional level of the provisioning and configuration as we always proud to deliver.

Prices may be affected by organizations based in countries that do not have an income tax treaty with Australia and are therefore required to impose withholding taxes. If this applies to you, Australian taxation law requires us to provide proof of tax withheld. As such, we will require documentation from you which states the amount of tax withheld (your tax office should be able to supply the relevant documents). Please contact us to discuss the potential implications.

How many servers I can provision in a single order?

For any project you can configure up to 50 servers. But it is only a per project limit. When you provision the servers in a cloud the additional cloud provider limits apply. The limit by a cloud provider can vary depending on multiple factors. So, you would receive a notification if a cloud provider prevents us from provisioning the instances for you.

Support

What kind of support does Deploy4Me offer?

We provide self-help support resources and how-to videos to assist you with the possible questions. There is an option for e-mail support as well. The support information can be found here.

When does software deployment start and finish?

Step by step one after another without a delay:

  1. You confirm the order
  2. Instances are provisioned in a cloud
  3. Software are configured for each instance
  4. Deployment are finalized
  5. We send the e-mail to confirm the deployment
So, once an order is paid you can relax and wait for deployment or take a look on deployment progress in your orders. Once all servers in the order are configured you would receive a confirmation e-mail.

Deployed Software

I can't find the deployed software anywhere... where'd you put it?

We deploy software according to the best practices for each server product. The technical details for the most popular software can be found in the knowledge base. If you still not sure, then contact support.

Cloud Sketches

What is a Cloud Sketch?

A Cloud Sketch is a template for a deployment project. It is shared by the Deploy4Me Community members to demonstrate a solution architecture or best practices configuration. Anyone can create a Cloud Sketch or deploy a project from a sketch. See the list of all cloud sketches for more examples.

Security

Are the server instances deployed with the latest security updates?

Yes, all instances are based on the operating systems packaged with the latest security updates. We update information in our system as soon as an update available from a cloud provider.

For deployed server applications we are working hard to ensure that all applications have the latest available release. In some cases when the application vendor declares old releases as stable. In this case we let you choose which release to deploy.

How you secure the passwords for a provisioned server instance?

Security of the cloud access information including the passwords for the provisioned instances is the one of our main priorities. All passwords are stored for a period of no more than 1 day since you first access it. So, after expiration there is no way to restore the unsaved passwords.

All information in the database related to your cloud connections, instances, orders, projects parameters and personal information are encrypted with the latest security algorithms, stored and protected according to the industry best practices. Additionally you cannot access the instance access information without your account password.

Managing Account

How do I update the email address or billing address on my account

You can update the email address or other account information via account settings.

How can I change or reset my account password?

To change your password use this page available from account settings. To reset the password in case you forgot it and have no access to the account use password reset page.

Our legal department would like to make some changes to your Terms of Use. Is that ok?
