Bitbucket Server (Stash) is a software for management of source code repositories, especially Git repositories. It allows you create, change and view the source code repositories. The SCM tool also allows you to configure the access permissions to repositories from a web interface. The product provides the ability to see the code in individual commits pushed by a development team. Bitbucket Server is designed for development teams of any size, but with the focus on large teams who need more control of the development process. Stash written in Java and can be installed on Linux, Unix and Windows systems.

Bitbucket Server is the product of Atlassian that fills the gaps between other products like JIRA and Bamboo to provide you with the full automation of all development activities. Bitbucket Server responsibility area is to manage Git commits and repositories, add more comments and likes, provide a way to manage repos without a Git client.
